Heidelberg Materials AG is hiring a Project Manager Budget to Report (f/m/d)

About the Role

This role leads the evolution of end-to-end budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes within a global industrial organization. Reporting to the Global Process Owner, the Project Manager ensures financial accuracy, process efficiency, and compliance across all stages of the Budget to Report cycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead ongoing optimization of B2R processes with a focus on standardization and simplification
  • Enhance data reliability and reduce manual effort through automation and system integration
  • Develop and maintain financial policies, documentation, and control frameworks
  • Collaborate with business units to identify pain points and implement effective solutions
  • Support digital transformation initiatives involving AI, RPA, and workflow technologies
  • Ensure alignment with financial governance, internal controls, and reporting standards
  • Partner with IT and shared service centers to deploy scalable solutions
  • Participate in integration projects and cross-functional change initiatives
  • Maintain risk oversight and promote continuous improvement across processes
  • Engage stakeholders through clear communication, presentations, and cross-regional coordination

Qualifications

Candidates should hold a university degree and bring at least five years of professional experience in accounting, controlling, consolidation, audit, or shared services environments. Strong knowledge of IFRS and hands-on experience with financial processes are essential. Proficiency in English is required for global collaboration.

Technical familiarity with SAP ERP, SAP BI, workflow systems, archiving solutions, and emerging technologies such as AI and RPA is critical. Leadership capability, analytical thinking, and a process-oriented mindset are key to success in this role. Prior experience in multinational or matrix organizations is an advantage.

Work Environment
