Lead critical infrastructure projects for next-generation datacenters focused on AI and digital asset technologies. This role drives the full project lifecycle—from initial planning through execution—ensuring timely, budget-compliant delivery across sites in Alberta, Canada.
Key Responsibilities
- Define project scope, develop detailed schedules, and establish budgets in collaboration with engineering, client, and leadership teams.
- Oversee contractor selection, contract negotiation, and on-site performance to ensure adherence to technical specifications, safety standards, and quality benchmarks.
- Monitor and mitigate risks related to budget, timeline, and operational disruptions, including emergency response and regulatory compliance.
- Act as the central communication hub, delivering regular progress updates and financial reports to internal stakeholders and executive leadership.
- Maintain strong coordination with cross-functional teams, external partners, and government agencies to secure necessary approvals and maintain project momentum.
- Conduct regular site inspections under variable weather conditions, requiring physical mobility across construction environments.
- Remain available on-call to address urgent site issues, including delays, weather events, or system failures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management.
- Proven experience managing large-scale construction projects, particularly with government engagement and regulatory processes.
- Strong grasp of construction contracts, building codes, and technical drawings, including electrical systems design.
- Familiarity with medium and low voltage power distribution systems or infrastructure projects in the energy sector.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly.
- Adaptability in fast-moving environments, with strong problem-solving, multitasking, and decision-making abilities under pressure.
- Commitment to safety, precision, and accountability, with effective time management and attention to detail.
- Willingness to work extended hours when needed to align with international teams and project demands.
Work Environment
This is a hybrid position based in Alberta, Canada, combining on-site presence for inspections and coordination with flexible remote work as project needs allow. Regular travel to project locations and physical site access are required.
