Becton Dickinson (BD) is hiring a Project Manager

BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company) is hiring a Software Engineering Project Manager to manage the execution of programs and projects for multiple software engineering teams. In this role, you will lead the adoption of defined SAFe Agile practices and provide direction for large and complex initiatives.

What You'll Do

• Manage large and complex projects or programs, including scope, time, and resources.
• Lead and adopt defined SAFe Agile Software Development practices.
• Facilitate risk/issue identification and develop mitigation plans.
• Refine project management methodologies and drive consistency of departmental practices.
• Communicate business implications to stakeholders and consult with senior management.
• Provide leadership through coaching, mentoring, and training.
• Contribute to strategic goal-setting and lead cross-functional teams toward operational objectives.
• Manage multiple project deployments and integrations.

What We're Looking For

• A degree level qualification, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice to Have

• A Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 6+ years of related work experience.
• Experience in a highly government-regulated, healthcare/medical device environment.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Practical knowledge and application of SAFe software development principles.
• Experience leading multiple teams of software engineers and managing geographically dispersed teams.
• Experience delivering products within an end-to-end software development life cycle (SDLC).
• Ability to use Jira/Confluence and knowledge of OnePlan Portfolio Management.
• Strong management, leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience working with matrixed resources and a solid understanding of software development work, practices, and culture.
• Understanding of stage-gate or similar innovation management processes.
• Meeting facilitation skills and action item tracking experience.

• Annual salary range: $102,000.00 - $168,200.00 USD.
