At WillScot, a Great Place to Work® certified company, we are looking for a Project Manager to lead the execution, monitoring, and closing of the back-end construction phases for our custom, complex modular construction projects. You will be the key point of contact, managing scopes of work, budgets, resources, safety, and quality to ensure project success and profitability.
What You'll Do
- Interpret project plans, estimates, and material quantities.
- Execute approved plans, budgets, schedules, and procurement.
- Review contractor quotations and complete purchase requisitions.
- Identify and solicit new subcontractors.
- Review bidding documents and negotiate change orders with owners and subcontractors.
- Drive cost savings and value engineering to increase project margin.
- Provide comprehensive documentation of construction progress, including schedules, delays, and payments.
- Supervise construction sites and direct superintendents and subcontractors.
- Coordinate on-site and off-site activities for personnel and vendors.
- Approve subcontractor payments based on valuation of completed work.
- Enforce building regulations, standards, and by-laws.
- Track and manage the project budget through final completion.
- Maintain project documentation and processes.
- Consult with architects, engineers, and technical workers.
- Identify risks and problems; recommend and implement solutions.
- Communicate cost, schedule, and issue status to customers and stakeholders.
- Monitor and document job site safety programs.
- Develop business rapport with customers to ensure satisfaction.
- Establish rapport with subcontractors and modular product manufacturers.
- Manage projects using SAP, Procore, and Salesforce.
- Expedite change orders and maintain a change order log.
- Drive Net Promoter Score (NPS) and customer satisfaction related to project execution.
- Coordinate project close-outs, substantial completions, hand-offs, and final payments.
- Communicate WillScot capabilities while managing client expectations.
- Educate customers on-site about the modular solution and its benefits.
- Review proposed sites, existing conditions, utilities, and physical restrictions.
- Provide ongoing support for completed projects.
- Maintain dialogue regarding market trends, customers, and new opportunities.
- Constantly communicate status on bids, proposals, project progress, and cost management.
- Assist in pre-construction technical support, including supporting Sales Representatives and performing project take-offs.
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 5+ years of demonstrated successful experience in construction management.
- Proven abilities in project management, estimating, and cost tracking.
- Proven skills in negotiating construction and subcontractor contracts.
- PC Proficiency in Windows and MS Office Suite (especially Excel and Outlook).
- Experience working in SAP, Procore, and Salesforce.
- Ability to effectively use construction and project management software.
- Ability to delineate subcontractor scopes of work.
- Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail in company processes and procedures.
- Extensive travel required; regional travel at least 50%.

Nice to Have
- BS or AS in a Construction-related field (e.g., Construction Management, Engineering).
- Experience in Modular Construction.
- Experience as a job site supervisor.
- Ability to perform effective blueprint take-offs.
- Proficiency in MS Project or other construction scheduling software.
