Lincoln Electric was looking for a Project Manager

Lincoln Electric, a world leader in the arc welding industry, is seeking a Project Manager. In this role, you will manage the development and direction of the operational team to drive technical productivity and promote high-quality customer satisfaction, integrating strategic business plans with day-to-day operations.

What You'll Do

  • Report directly to the Automation General Manager on project delivery status, ensuring safety and timeliness.
  • Develop and maintain the overall Project Schedule to coordinate action items across all departments.
  • Work collaboratively with the Engineering Manager, Production Manager, and Service Manager.
  • Manage equipment and inventory levels to support current and future projects.
  • Conduct project review meetings to ensure builds meet plans, quality standards, specifications, schedule, and budget.
  • Liaise with the General Manager and department staff in an advisory capacity on project-related matters.
  • Lead project-specific meetings such as pre-submittal and pre-construction meetings.
  • Conduct operations meetings to review schedules, back-orders, and breakdowns.
  • Provide management oversight for all phases of manufacturing projects, including production, design, fabrication, and installation.
  • Work with Sales and Production to identify client needs and develop action plans and deliverables.
  • Analyze and report on daily, monthly, and annual departmental key performance indicators.
  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints in collaboration with Sales and Service teams.
  • Ensure all assigned projects meet or exceed customer requirements.
  • Liaise with US counterparts to leverage global knowledge and direction for the Automation Division.
  • Contribute to company profitability by initiating, recommending, and implementing continuous improvement strategies.
  • Actively support and abide by Lincoln Electric’s Environmental Health & Safety policies and practices.
  • Adhere to all Compliance policies and requirements.
  • Perform additional duties and specific projects as assigned by the General Manager.

What We're Looking For

  • A University Degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical Design) from a 4-year program.
  • Valid P.Eng License.
  • 5 or more years of previous operations experience in a manufacturing or job shop environment with proven leadership abilities.
  • Ability to identify key issues and creatively overcome internal challenges or obstacles.
  • A clear understanding of personnel policies, practices, procedures, and operational issues.
  • A track record of successfully leading program launches, building strong teams, and expertise in manufacturing processes.
  • Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability.
  • Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience or knowledge in welding, automation, and positioning equipment.
  • Experience successfully implementing Lean/Six Sigma tools that created impactful business improvements.

Team & Environment

You will report to the Automation General Manager and work closely with the Engineering Manager, Production Manager, Service Manager, Sales, and US counterparts.

Benefits & Compensation

  • Compensation range: $86,871 to $107,338.

This role is onsite at our Mississauga location (939).
