Responsibilities
- Assist in coordination between local project partners, stakeholders, and international project leadership.
- Facilitate and oversee food security and nutrition-related activities with local partners, focusing on vulnerable populations, including women, children, and refugees.
- Conduct regular field visits to project sites to ensure effective delivery of nutritional support and humanitarian aid.
- Apply food safety standards and gender-related resources while ensuring alignment with safeguarding policies.
- Occasionally support PSS-related activities as a secondary component of the holistic aid approach.
- Implement fundraising strategies on a local level in line with annual departmental goals and local priorities.
- Actively identify, research, and track new, localized funding opportunities from institutional, corporate, and foundation prospects.
- Support the grant application and management process by preparing project-specific data and drafting sections of compelling proposals.
- Identify, cultivate, and manage relationships with key local individual donors and project-specific corporate partners.
- Support the development of high-quality, project-specific communication materials, including impact stories, photos, and testimonials.
- Ensure the consistent application of organizational branding and messaging within the project area.
- Manage local press contacts and issue project-related press releases in coordination with HQ.
- Facilitate media interviews with local staff and provide local context for central team requests.
- Facilitate data collection and analysis for program monitoring and evaluation (M&E).
- Regularly contribute accurate contact information and donation records to the central donor database (CRM).
- Track and report project-level fundraising performance against targets to leadership.
Requirements
- B.A. / M.A. in relevant studies.
- Proven background in non-governmental or humanitarian operations, specifically within food security, nutrition, or rural development.
- Experience in fundraising, grant support, or donor cultivation.
- Fluent in English, Romanian, and Russian.
- Essential computer literacy (Word, Excel) and a solution-oriented mindset.
Nice to Have
- Prior experience or education in psychosocial support (PSS) is an advantage.
- Ukrainian language skill is a significant advantage.
