TE Connectivity is looking for a Project Leader - Machine Development to lead new machine development projects from the start-up phase through to serial production. In this role, you will take full ownership of all assembly-related topics, driving impactful projects from concept to reality, shaping solutions, and implementing new ideas.
What You'll Do
- Search for new projects aligned with plant competencies and financial parameters and maintain the project database.
- Discover improvement opportunities for existing projects and prepare papers for management decisions.
- Work within the core team from start-up to serial production using systems like Planisware and EP&C.
- Review specifications, drawings, technologies, layouts, offers, calculations, sample production, and test results.
- Participate in gate reviews and other project decisions.
- Implement new projects, coordinating cross-functional teams and vendors.
- Create specifications and other draft documentation.
- Negotiate with vendors, review offers, and assess supplier capabilities.
- Establish project plans and coordinate FMEA, Flow Charts, Control Plans, and Work Instructions.
- Coordinate design reviews, open point lists, and action plans.
- Perform machine acceptance at vendors or other TE sites.
- Manage availability of components, packaging material, logistical operations, and tool transport.
- Prepare and coordinate customer audits.
- Cooperate with other TE teams, including foreign plants, through written and spoken communication, data exchange, and business trips.
- Contribute to design for manufacturing to reach product design compliant with TE Industrial Targets.
- Apply lean industrial design principles.
- Define and track main Industrial Performance indicators.
- Be responsible for reaching targets for cycle time, scrap rate, and machine performance.
What We're Looking For
- University degree in a technical field (mechanical engineering preferred).
- 2+ years of relevant experience in a similar position and experience in project management.
- Good knowledge of a Project Management system.
- Knowledge of statistical approaches like 6 sigma methodology or Red-X.
- Advanced knowledge of technical drawings.
- Basic knowledge of eDrawings and CREO.
- Basic knowledge of designing single-purpose machines.
- Good knowledge of MS Office Standard tools (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Advanced knowledge of MS Project.
- English language proficiency at level B2 according to the Common European Framework.
- A Driving licence B is mandatory.

- Knowledge of the TE Project SharePoint.
- Experience from an automotive environment.
