Langan is seeking a Project Landscape Architect to join its collaborative team in Chicago, IL. In this role, you will serve a key function in leading the planning, design, and permitting for a diverse portfolio of landscape architecture and land development projects, including waterfront design, urban revitalization, smart growth planning, and campus design.
What You'll Do
- Assist discipline leadership with the planning, design and permitting of landscape architecture, land development, and planning projects.
- Coordinate with staff to prepare site work cost estimates, zoning analyses, and feasibility studies.
- Write and review draft reports, including technical specifications and proposals.
- Plan, schedule, and develop task and project budgets, monitoring timelines to minimize write-offs.
- Perform and manage multiple projects and tasks within specific budgets, schedules, and deadlines.
- Provide direct oversight and management of staff and senior staff for specific project assignments.
- Coach, train, and motivate team members.
- Participate in the identification and pursuit of new clients, prepare proposals, and attend business development meetings.
- Remain current on landscape architecture practices, guidelines, and best management practices.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture.
- 8+ years of prior related experience.
- Landscape Architecture license in good standing.
- Creative and exceptional technical skills in AutoCAD, Photoshop, Adobe Creative Suite, Lumion, Illustrator, and 3D Modeling.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
- Possess reliable transportation to access job sites and a valid driver’s license in good standing.
- Position requires work Monday through Friday with occasional evenings and weekends.

- Compensation range: $90,000 - $133,000
