Role Overview
This is a fully remote position for a Project Engineer/Detailer specializing in commercial door and hardware systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed shop drawings, specifications, and submittal documents that align with architectural plans and project requirements. Accuracy and attention to detail are essential as you coordinate across internal teams and external partners to support seamless project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce detailed shop drawings and technical documentation for door and hardware installations across multiple projects.
- Analyze architectural blueprints and project specifications to ensure correct interpretation and implementation.
- Use Emullion software to generate precise submittals and resolve any inconsistencies in design or specifications.
- Work closely with Project Managers, Estimators, and internal departments to maintain project alignment and efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers, manufacturers, architects, and clients to verify product details and resolve issues.
- Ensure all deliverables are completed and submitted on schedule, maintaining consistent workflow and quality standards.
- Stay informed about industry developments, product updates, and evolving best practices in door and hardware systems.
Qualifications
Candidates must have at least five years of experience in door and hardware detailing, with a proven ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and Emullion—or similar detailing software—is required. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams are essential. The role demands sharp analytical thinking and sound judgment when identifying and resolving technical discrepancies.
