Samsung Electronics America is hiring a Project Engineer to specialize in logistics warehouse automation and robotics for Samsung Electronics Europe Logistics (SELS). In this role, you will be instrumental in identifying automation opportunities, implementing advanced solutions, and designing the 'warehouse of the future' for a global leader in consumer electronics.
What You'll Do
- Identify opportunities to automate processes and systems inside a newly built warehouse.
- Support automation implementation by gathering, defining, developing/selecting, and implementing advanced warehouse automation solutions.
- Apply deep knowledge of the robotics automation markets to identify effective, proven concepts and scalable solutions.
- Leverage expertise in advanced solutions, including ASRS, AMR, AFL, ATL, auto sorting and conveyor systems.
- Contribute to designing and shaping the 'warehouse of the future'.
- Work with a broad range of consumer electronics product categories and distribution types.
- Validate automation proposals from vendors on effectiveness, efficiency, and ROI in cooperation with local logistics and contracting teams.
What We're Looking For
- Mandatory fluency in both English and Mandarin.
- A technical degree, preferably a Bachelor/Master in Automation, Industrial Engineering, or Mechanics.
- Proven automation work experience within factories and/or logistics environments.
- Advanced expertise in automation engineering and implementations.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the robotics market, including vendors and solutions.
- A strong understanding of proven automation concepts and their practical applications.
- Good knowledge of WMS, WCS, and SAP, including how these systems integrate with automation.
- Ability to work primarily from the office in Delft and the warehouse in the Breda area.
