Family Health International (FHI 360) is looking for a Program Officer II to administer the English Access Program, a flagship public diplomacy program sponsored by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA). You will be responsible for program coordination and administration within an assigned global region for this impactful initiative.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the primary liaison with U.S. embassies and ECA personnel to coordinate and administer the Access Program within an assigned global region.
- Ensure consistent and efficient communication with all stakeholders to support core project operations such as timely proposal review, agreement set-up and close-out, initiating and tracking disbursements, and processing and reviewing program reports.
- Monitor regional inboxes and dashboard daily; communicate consistently and efficiently with all stakeholders to ensure timely program operations; implement solutions in response to the diverse needs and unique circumstances of programs operating around the world.
- Establish strong working relationships and maintain consistent communication with all stakeholders.
- Support the development of materials and resource guides for global program administrators with diverse needs and experience.
- Ensure timely and consistent implementation of program operations at each step of agreement set-up to close out and provide technical input as requested.
- Create and maintain project materials, including internal standardized operating procedures and templates for standard forms and communication.
- Support the development and implementation of processes to maintain accurate and reliable project data; collaborate with team members to identify and suggest improvements to the custom database used for project administration.
- Backstop other regional portfolios as needed.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree required.
- A minimum of 4 years of work experience in an NGO, government agency, or private organization.
Nice to Have
- Alumnus or alumna of an exchange program sponsored by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs strongly preferred.
- Understanding of federal government regulations (2 CFR 200) preferred.
- Budget and/or financial management experience preferred.
