Family Health International (FHI 360) is seeking a Program Manager to coordinate the entire lifecycle of the STRIDES Guatemala Activity. You will provide comprehensive oversight of project planning, budgeting, and execution, ensuring goals are achieved on schedule and within budget while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
What You'll Do
- Develop and manage the project workplan, assign tasks, and ensure overall progress.
- Coordinate team input and submission of reports and deliverables to stakeholders and the funder.
- Update the overall project work plan and RASCI for the team.
- Coordinate project team members to ensure objectives and deliverables are met.
- Provide guidance and monitoring for project staff, ensuring clarity over plans and priorities.
- Develop best practices and tools for project execution, communication, and management.
- Evaluate project progress on a regular basis.
- Ensure budgets reflect project work plan activities and reforecast as needed.
- Proactively identify, evaluate, and mitigate potential risks impacting project success.
- Establish a communication schedule to update stakeholders on project progress.
- Develop a schedule for project completion that effectively allocates resources.
- Lead identification of project vendors through competitive selection per USG regulations.
- Keep procurement, personnel, and consultant trackers updated.
- Coordinate all project procurement with the Finance Manager.
- Support People and Culture to coordinate logistics for travel and transportation.
- Provide support to arrange meetings and conference room setup.
- Coordinate a project calendar to ensure completion of milestones and deadlines.
- Ensure adequate documentation and electronic filing of all project activities.
- Collaborate with the finance manager to determine resources required and monitor/approve budgeted expenditures.
- Oversee recruitment processes from requisition approval to onboarding.
- Maintain HRIS data integrity and generate standard People and Culture reports.
- Coach and mentor project staff to ensure quality, efficiency, and compliance.
- Coordinate learning activities and training for all project staff.
- Develop tools for delegating tasks and evaluate performance of project management office team members.
- Ensure all project personnel receive an appropriate orientation.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree or its International Equivalent in Civil Society, Communication and Social Marketing, Economic Development, Education, the Environment, Gender, Health, Nutrition, Research, Technology and Youth or a Related Field.
- Minimum of 8+ years of relevant experience with project management principles and practices.
- 2+ years of line management experience required.
- Prior work experience in an NGO, government agency, or private organization.
- Experience managing and/or supporting complex USG contract/acquisition mechanisms required.
- Familiarity with USG rules and regulations.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English required.
- Proficiency in Spanish is required.
- Demonstrated project and personnel management skills.
- Ability to influence, motivate, and collaborate with others.
- Ability to adapt and resolve problems/issues to bring the project to completion.
Nice to Have
- Project Management (PM) Certification preferred or equivalent work experience.
