HII Mission Technologies is looking for a part-time, remote Program Manager to lead complex defense programs. This role is responsible for the cost, schedule, and technical performance of programs, providing direction to project leaders and serving as the primary customer contact.
What You'll Do
- Provide program management oversight to a single customer, coordinating requirements across planning stages with multiple subcontractors.
- Direct all phases of programs from inception through completion.
- Identify, develop, and implement near-term and long-term business strategies for new products, technologies, services, and follow-on products.
- Act as primary customer contact for program activities, leading review sessions to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.
- Identify markets and licensing opportunities, determining feasibility for business and product development.
- Coordinate with internal departments to identify and implement business development projects.
- Develop and disseminate information to all pertinent parties concerning the fulfillment of project goals.
- Evaluate project milestone progression and modify work to ensure quality and schedule adherence.
- Regularly engage with key government stakeholders.
- Establish milestones, monitor adherence to master plans and schedules, identify problems, and obtain solutions.
- Direct the work of employees assigned to the program.
What We're Looking For
- 8 years relevant progressive experience with a Bachelor's in a related field; 6 years with a Master's; or a High School Diploma/equivalent and 12 years relevant progressive experience.
- Experience in project management of defense contracts.
- Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships by engaging business leaders to solve problems and achieve objectives.
- Self-motivated, decisive, with the ability to adapt to change and competing demands.
- Demonstrated communication skills, both written and oral, with technical and non-technical staff and all levels of management.
- Flexible with proven ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines.
- Must possess and maintain a Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret clearance.
- Project Manager Professional (PMP) Certification.
- Must be willing to travel up to 25%.
Nice to Have
- Minimum 15 years of experience in DoD contracting, munitions response, or defense technology programs.
- Proven success in leading large-scale federal contracts and multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong understanding of FAR/DFAR compliance, proposal development, and contract execution.
- Demonstrated ability to integrate emerging technologies into operational environments.
- Extensive experience in joint command operations.
