Texas A&M Agrilife Extension Service is seeking a Program Coordinator II to join the Mature Driver Program. In this role, you’ll work under the general supervision of the Mature Driver Program Manager to plan, develop, and implement older driver traffic safety educational programming across the state.
What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain a strong community presence while building partnerships with statewide organizations.
- Assist in planning, developing, implementing, coordinating, conducting, and monitoring statewide programs and services.
- Assist in developing strategies to measure and enhance the CarFit Technician, CarFit Coordinator, and participant experience.
- Assist in establishing short and long term goals based on strategic planning and grant objectives.
- Collaborate with others to create new and expanded programs.
- Document program events and activities according to funder requirements.
- Conduct CarFit Technician training and CarFit events statewide.
- Assist in preparing and maintaining special reports and other grant documents.
- Attend meetings and conferences to discuss the progress of assigned programming areas.
- Travel statewide, averaging 70% of the time, to coordinate and conduct programming, including evening, weekend, and overnight trips.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Four years of related professional experience.
- Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
- Knowledge of social media platforms.
- Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Ability to maintain attention to detail and utilize sound judgment.
- Ability to work independently and be task driven.
Nice to Have
- Prior experience in traffic safety programming, community-based educational programming, or educating adults.
- Current CarFit Technician or CarFit Coordinator certification. If not currently trained, willingness to complete CarFit training within 3 months of hire.
- Bilingual communication skills.
Team & Environment
You will report directly to the Mature Driver Program Manager.
Work Mode
This is a hybrid position based in College Station, Texas.
