ClimateWorks Foundation is hiring a Program Associate, Justice, Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion for a two-year, fixed-term role. You will support the ongoing development of JEDI initiatives, contributing to strategic projects and collaborating across departments to integrate JEDI principles within the foundation's grantmaking and services.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on various projects and initiatives.
- Assist with planning, design and implementation of new initiatives.
- Support research and analysis that informs the department’s strategy across multiple areas.
- Manage project timelines, track progress, and ensure all deliverables are completed on time.
- Help identify potential grantees, build strong relationships, and outline viable projects for funding.
- Gradually take on the role of subject matter expert, becoming a point of contact and representative for ClimateWorks in specific focus areas.
- Assist in capturing key performance indicators related to our service offerings and grantmaking initiatives.
- Draft key communications and create knowledge products for our stakeholders.
- Provide logistical and programmatic support for both virtual and in-person events.
- Assist with planning and offer general assistance as needed.
What We're Looking For
- A thorough understanding of equity issues at the intersection of climate change.
- Strong project management skills, with a minimum of three years of relevant experience.
- Detail-oriented with robust analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Exceptional written and verbal communications skills, including writing for general audiences.
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently (both virtually and in-person) with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to travel and work across various time zones as necessary.
Nice to Have
- Fluency in a language other than English.
- Work or lived experience in the Global South.
Team & Environment
You will report directly to the Director, JEDI. The role involves working closely with the JEDI team and alongside the chief of equity, justice and culture.
Benefits & Compensation
- Bay Area / NYC: $80,000 - $85,000 annually; Other US: $75,000 - $80,000 annually.
- International salary range determined based on location and local cost of labor.
Work Mode
This role operates on a global flexible model. The listed location is the San Francisco Financial District.
