Responsibilities
- Adhere to established safety protocols and guidelines to ensure full compliance with company safety policies and procedures.
- Supervise the safety and well-being of the team according to company standards.
- Monitor assigned work and review completed jobs to ensure alignment with work scope and company expectations, including quality standards and labor factor adherence.
- Continuously monitor and adjust job assignments to meet the production schedule in collaboration with the scheduling and planning department, reviewing productivity through daily labor factor analysis.
- Use computer software programs to assign, verify, track, and monitor metrics and job assignments.
- Motivate, coach, and counsel team members to achieve desired outcomes.
- Manage personnel work hours, scheduled time off, shift schedules, and overtime.
- Perform tasks such as performance reviews, employee development, team accountability, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions with the Weld Department Manager.
- Collaborate with designated trainers and department managers to monitor, guide, and improve employee development and process improvements.
- Conduct regularly scheduled department meetings with the Weld Manager, including monthly meetings and smaller, more frequent group meetings as needed.
- Communicate changes affecting employees in a timely manner.
