Ferrero Group is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead manufacturing operations for our iconic Baby Ruth and Butterfinger brands. This on-site role oversees team members on production lines with a strong focus on teamwork, safety, and sanitation. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will ensure tools, supplies, and equipment are available and utilized effectively to enhance efficiency and quality.
What You'll Do
- Oversee daily activities associated with the optimization of production factors including material, method, labor force, and machinery.
- Manage all production phases within your area of competence (Preparation, Packaging, etc.) for your assigned shift.
- Partner with the Production Manager on medium-term resource allocation and skills development.
- Apply defined criteria to resource management on the lines, including shift changes and break substitutions.
- Follow the escalation process, manage personal conflicts between line resources, lead disciplinary meetings, and recommend disciplinary measures.
- In partnership with HR, select line personnel and provide evaluations for new hires.
- Apply all necessary measures to prevent workplace incidents and reduce employee absences.
- Provide insight to define guidelines for the skills development of line employees.
What We're Looking For
- At least 3 years of supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, machinery, stock management, and production models.
- Strong experience in applying production performance analysis methods.
- Strong data analysis skills, ability to troubleshoot technological problems, and knowledge of production scheduling.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and leadership skills with the ability to direct production employees in a proactive and positive manner.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor's Degree.
- SAP experience.
