Role Overview
As a Product Specialist in Postpress Packaging, you will lead the commercial and technical advancement of packaging solutions throughout the United States. You’ll work closely with sales leadership and account teams to identify opportunities, qualify prospects, and guide customers toward effective, high-value solutions tailored to their production needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Account Managers and regional leaders to pursue new and expanding sales in the postpress packaging sector.
- Visit customer sites to assess operational needs, conduct return-on-investment analyses, and recommend appropriate equipment and workflows.
- Act as a technical authority on postpress technologies, including die cutting, folder gluing, and stripping systems.
- Lead live demonstrations, open house events, and trade show presentations to highlight system capabilities.
- Work cross-functionally with Product Management, Marketing, and Service teams to ensure smooth implementation and customer satisfaction.
- Track market trends, competitive offerings, and evolving customer demands to inform product strategy.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, forecasts, and pipeline progress to support planning at regional and national levels.
- Build lasting relationships by delivering consistent, high-quality support from initial contact through project completion.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Graphic Communications, Packaging Science, or a related field—equivalent experience will be considered.
- At least 7 years of professional experience in the folding carton, packaging, or converting industry.
- Strong grasp of postpress operations, particularly in finishing and converting processes.
- Proven track record managing long-cycle capital equipment sales.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.
- Comfortable discussing mechanical systems and production workflows in technical detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM platforms.
- Willingness to travel frequently—up to 60%—to customer locations, exhibitions, and company sites.
