About the Role

About The Role As a Technical Solutions Specialist, you will serve as a critical technical resource supporting the sales team in acquiring new customers and strategic partners. You will apply your scientific expertise and deep understanding of pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, particularly in Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls (CMC), to provide advanced technical guidance throughout the sales lifecycle. Your responsibilities include delivering engaging product demonstrations, resolving complex technical inquiries, crafting comprehensive proposal responses, and designing customized solution architectures addressing prospect requirements. You will effectively connect advanced technical capabilities with customers' scientific and operational needs, ensuring clear communication of platform value and impact. This position demands a meticulous professional with exceptional communication skills and a genuine commitment to helping clients overcome challenges. What You'll Own Pre-Sales Technical Support: - Function as the primary technical interface for the sales team, offering expert guidance and support during the sales process. - Conduct compelling and informative product demonstrations customized to specific prospect workflows within CMC and related domains. - Proactively address technical questions and concerns from potential clients, articulating platform capabilities and advantages. - Generate detailed and persuasive responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs), emphasizing technical strengths. - Partner with Account Executives to comprehend prospect requirements and design optimal solution architectures aligned with scientific workflows. Solution Expertise: - Maintain comprehensive understanding of platform features, functionality, and technical architecture. - Develop and sustain expertise in scientific workflows within pharmaceutical and biotechnology manufacturing, emphasizing CMC and related software solutions. - Remain current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape in pharma/biotech SaaS sector. - Effectively communicate platform value proposition within context of customer-specific scientific and business challenges. Content and Tool Development: - Contribute to technical sales collateral development, including demonstration scripts, presentations, FAQs, and technical documentation. - Identify opportunities for creating reusable solutions, templates, and best practices for common customer scenarios. - Provide strategic feedback to Product and Engineering teams based on customer interactions and market insights. Customer Engagement and Relationship Building: - Establish strong relationships with prospective customers by demonstrating technical credibility and expertise. - Understand customer scientific processes, data management practices, and technological infrastructure. - Collaborate across internal teams to ensure seamless customer experience. Travel and Industry Participation: - Travel to customer locations for meetings, demonstrations, and technical workshops (Up to 30% of time). - Attend industry conferences and events to stay informed about market trends and expand professional network (20%). Requirements What You Need To Succeed Education and Experience: - Bachelor's degree in scientific discipline, preferably Biology, Chemistry, or related field. - 3+ years professional experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry. - Specific experience in pharmaceutical/biotech manufacturing, particularly within CMC, highly desirable. - (Bonus) Experience with CMC scientific workflow tools like LIMS, ELN, MES, and RIM systems. - (Bonus) Experience in digital strategy, technology, or software company. - (Bonus) Experience in sales or customer-facing role. Skills: - Technical Proficiency: Articulating complex technical concepts related to software and scientific workflows. - Scientific Acumen: Strong understanding of scientific principles and pharmaceutical/biotechnology processes. - CMC Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of CMC processes, regulatory requirements, and industry challenges. - Exceptional Communication Skills: Ability to explain technical information to diverse audiences. - Presentation Skills: Delivering engaging and persuasive product demonstrations. - Problem-Solving: Analytical approach to addressing customer technical challenges. - Detail-Oriented: Meticulous attention to detail in proposal responses and solution design. - Collaboration: Effective teamwork with sales teams and internal stakeholders. - Customer Focus: Genuine commitment to understanding and meeting customer needs.
