M-Files was looking for a Product Marketing Manager, Competitive Intelligence (Remote, EST/CST)

M-Files is hiring a hands-on Product Marketing Manager to lead our Competitive Intelligence efforts, with a strong focus on AI-driven capabilities and market positioning. This high-visibility role impacts Product, Sales, and Executive leadership by identifying competitive opportunities and risks, closing gaps, and ensuring M-Files is effectively positioned in a rapidly evolving market.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and maintain a structured competitive intelligence program including win/loss analysis.
  • Analyze competitors’ product capabilities, roadmap signals, AI positioning, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Monitor, aggregate, synthesize, and communicate market trends and emerging AI use cases.
  • Deliver clear, actionable insights to product management, go-to-market teams, and leadership.
  • Assess competitive positioning in AI-driven automation, content intelligence, and enterprise information management.
  • Identify competitive gaps and opportunities aligned with Board-level priorities.
  • Partner with Product Management to translate findings into roadmap recommendations.
  • Create and maintain battlecards, objection-handling guides, and competitive messaging.
  • Support Sales with deal-specific competitive insights when needed.
  • Conduct internal training sessions to improve competitive fluency.
  • Act as the bridge between Product, Marketing, Sales, and Services on competitive topics.
  • Ensure messaging reflects current product capabilities and roadmap direction.
  • Share structured insights with leadership on competitive risks and opportunities.

What We're Looking For

  • 3-4 years of experience in product marketing, competitive intelligence, product strategy, consulting, or a similar role.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate complex insights into clear recommendations.
  • Demonstrated interest or experience in AI-related technologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Hands-on, self-starter mindset—comfortable building processes from the ground up.

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience in the DMS/ECM market.
  • Background in enterprise software or B2B SaaS.
  • Experience creating sales enablement materials like battlecards, competitive decks, and win/loss summaries.

You will report to the Senior Director, Product Marketing.
