Blue Shield of California Group is hiring a Product Manager, Consultant to join our Digital Member Engagement and Experience team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Product Management, you will use your expertise to connect clinical and product strategies, creating value-driven roadmaps aligned with business goals and member needs. Your work is vital in leveraging digital technologies to guide members toward cost-effective, high-quality healthcare services.
What You'll Do
- Develop and manage a comprehensive digital roadmap that supports our future vision around clinical engagement, ensuring continuous improvement.
- Develop and refine use cases, user stories, and member journey concepts to guide the design of cross-channel care journeys.
- Work with marketing and content strategy teams to develop digital messaging, email, in-app content, and chatbot interactions.
- Analyze product-level KPIs to establish experience success, failures, and next steps for iteration.
- Apply segmentation models, next best action frameworks, and tailor messages by risk level or program eligibility.
- Manage product development deliverables, including detailed requirement documentation, data analytics, member journeys, and design reviews.
- Create and present business cases for investments in personalization solutions that align with team goals.
- Ensure all digital engagement initiatives comply with healthcare regulations and privacy standards.
- Report regularly to senior management on the progress, impact, and strategic adjustments of initiatives.
- Mentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
What We're Looking For
- A bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, public health, information technology, or a related field.
- At least 6 years of prior relevant experience in Product Management or Management Consulting.
- The ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams without direct authority.
- Proven ability to act as a product area subject matter expert (SME) to educate others.
- Experience leading research initiatives, defining strategic roadmaps, crafting detailed epics, and managing backlog priorities.
- Experience in digital product management for clinical platforms.
- Outstanding public speaking, presentation, and written communication skills.
Nice to Have
- A graduate degree (e.g., MBA) is highly desirable.
- Experience working on digital health platforms, such as Electronic Medical Records (Epic/Cerner), disease management platforms, or care management platforms.

You will be part of the Digital Member Engagement and Experience team, reporting directly to the Senior Manager, Product Management.
