Kohl's, Inc. is hiring a Product Manager I to join a cross-functional product team within our Enterprise Data & Analytics (EDA) organization. In this remote role, you will manage a team of engineers to evolve data and analytic products, focusing on user needs, prioritization, and shipping incremental value. Your work will be central to improving trust, discoverability, and usability as we foster a data-native culture.
What You'll Do
- Manage a balanced team of Business Intelligence and Data Engineers autonomously, delivering features that improve data discoverability, quality, governance, and decision making.
- Partner with a Product Leader and stakeholders to discover, define, and deliver features in service of a product strategy for a single product.
- Engage users and stakeholders to identify opportunities, clarify pain points, and facilitate ideation sessions to prioritize solutions.
- Conduct ongoing discovery to further define valuable problems and deliver features for a well-defined domain area.
- Create backlog stories and product documentation, prioritize tasks, and coordinate feature releases to promote rapid ideation to delivery cycles.
- Measure impacts, solicit feedback, and make data-informed pivot or persevere decisions to improve current data discovery and decision making experiences.
- Actively pursue greater fluency in data acumen, business processes, discovery facilitations, and tools to successfully lead a product team in a fast-paced environment.
What We're Looking For
- Familiarity with the software development lifecycle and experience delivering production quality data products and features.
- Ability to analyze data, interpret metrics, and use data to drive decision-making within a single product area.
- Natural curiosity about data, systems, and user behavior; eager to learn and become a trusted thought partner to stakeholders and users.
- Exposure to data platforms and tools like GCP, Airflow, Qlik, and Looker.
- Strong prioritization and time-management, and problem solving skills to keep teams and workstreams on track.
- Strong written and verbal communication that simplifies complex information.
Nice to Have
- 2+ years of experience in product management.
- Intermediate training or parallel experience in Product Management, Business, MIS, Computer Science, or related fields.
- Ability to travel 10% of the time.
