Responsibilities
- Lead and support a design team through coaching, mentorship, performance management, and career development to create intuitive, effective designs aligned with classroom needs.
- Hold regular growth discussions, development planning sessions, and performance evaluations.
- Assist individuals in identifying strengths, growth areas, and meaningful career paths.
- Cultivate an inclusive, psychologically safe, and collaborative team environment.
- Support onboarding, retention, succession planning, and internal mobility initiatives.
- Collaborate with recruiting teams on hiring strategy, interviewing, and talent assessment.
- Enhance team operations, communication methods, and collaboration approaches.
- Identify organizational bottlenecks and implement workflow improvements to boost team effectiveness and sustainability.
- Help establish sound management practices, feedback systems, and growth frameworks.
- Work cross-functionally with Design Directors and project leads to ensure team alignment and organizational clarity.
- Contribute to developing scalable management practices and design organization standards.
- Support the growth of design craft across the organization through coaching, critique culture, mentorship programs, and learning initiatives.
- Identify skill gaps and create development opportunities aligned with organizational priorities.
- Help shape internal learning pathways, design competencies, and capability frameworks.
- Investigate emerging trends in design practice, collaboration tools, and organizational design.
- Assess evolving industry directions and their implications for team skills, operating models, and creative processes.
- Recommend thoughtful experiments with AI workflow enhancements to improve quality, sustainability, or effectiveness.
- Share insights and strategic recommendations with design leadership.
