The Principal Systems Analyst will work within Institutional Technology to support managed discretionary solutions in the Wealth Management domain. This role involves shaping technical direction, analyzing systems and business models, and delivering robust solutions through close collaboration with enterprise teams in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Responsibilities
- Define and guide the technical vision while delivering high-quality, scalable systems
- Evaluate current systems and business processes to uncover requirements and interdependencies
- Establish project scope and implementation sequence based on system needs
- Author clear and concise user stories for APIs, data storage, and user interface improvements
- Design use cases and functional solutions aligned with project objectives
- Build deep expertise in the product domain and related technologies
- Support the creation and review of test plans for solution validation
- Lead efforts to develop and enhance the technical capabilities of the team
Requirements
- 8 to 10 or more years of experience in IT Systems Analysis
- Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, and Kanban methodologies, along with formal documentation practices
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a technology-related field
- Proficiency in API development and testing, SQL, AWS, UI design, data modeling, AI prompting, and workflow automation
- Strong analytical, facilitation, and communication abilities
- Ability to succeed in a matrixed organization with multiple integration points
- Demonstrated experience working effectively with cross-functional teams
- Skilled at solving technical challenges in fast-moving environments
- Proactive learner who contributes to team growth and success
- Solid knowledge of the financial services industry
- Strong interpersonal skills including negotiation, leadership, and influence
- Flexible in adapting to changing priorities and timelines
- Able to build relationships and navigate complex organizational structures
- Effective at managing multiple tasks and resolving issues efficiently
- Detail-oriented team member focused on aligning technical solutions with business goals
- Experience mentoring junior analysts and helping define team standards
