About the Role

Availity is hiring a Principal, Senior Healthcare Executive to own and grow strategic customer relationships within the payer space. In this quota-carrying role, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth and deepening engagement across Strategic-tier accounts by selling UM Authorization Solutions and navigating complex healthcare landscapes.

What You'll Do

  • Own and grow customer relationships within the payer space.
  • Drive revenue growth and deepen engagement across Strategic-tier accounts.
  • Sell UM Authorization Solutions, navigating complex healthcare landscapes.
  • Partner closely with C-level stakeholders and cross-functional decision makers to understand business goals and map solutions.
  • Work hand-in-hand with internal teams including Customer Success, Legal, Product, Sales Enablement, Marketing, and Executive Leadership.
  • Lead detailed account planning, forecasting, and quarterly business reviews (QBRs).
  • Act as a strategic advisor to the customer, aligning solutions with their priorities and industry trends.
  • Drive large, complex deal cycles involving multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide structured feedback to internal teams and leadership to help shape offerings.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline management and Salesforce data hygiene.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
  • 7-10 years of healthcare industry enterprise sales experience.
  • Proven track record in UM Prior Authorization.
  • Consistent track record of quota attainment and success in a quota-carrying role.
  • Demonstrated success managing and growing large enterprise accounts in complex sales environments.
  • Strategic thinker with a bias for action and the ability to understand an account’s market landscape.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex sales cycles and negotiating win-win agreements based on value-based selling.
  • Experience selling healthcare technology and a deep understanding of healthcare EDI transactions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including delivering executive-level presentations.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity, influencing without authority, and leading through change.

Nice to Have

  • Awarded Top Salesperson or Presidents Club Attendee.
  • Proven track record of successfully selling and maintaining business in the payer space, with a strong focus on UM/Prior Authorizations.

Team & Environment

Reports to Director of UM Authorization Sales. Works cross-functionally with Customer Success, Legal, Product, Sales Enablement, Marketing, and Executive Leadership.
