MiWay is hiring a Principal Healthcare Consultant

MiWay is seeking a Principal Healthcare Consultant to manage a portfolio of Simeka Health clients and lead a team of consultants. In this role, you will provide strategic consulting to employer groups, coordinate between key stakeholders like medical schemes and primary care providers, and take full ownership of client relationships with the goal of driving portfolio success.

What You'll Do

• Ensure a portfolio of clients is adequately and profitably serviced, meeting new business targets.
• Provide technical excellence in servicing corporate clients and embody Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) in all interactions.
• Manage your client portfolio independently and effectively, demonstrating strong client centricity to build relationships and ensure retention.
• Facilitate and coordinate internally and with external stakeholders to achieve client objectives.
• Maintain the overall standard of agenda packs, minutes, and consulting advice.
• Attend and coordinate client committee meetings.
• Provide monthly reporting on the operating functions of your portfolio via required reports.
• Direct employee training to improve team efficiency.
• Ensure standard procedures, practices, and client servicing levels are maintained and adhered to.
• Maintain risk awareness and proactively manage identified risks.
• Stay aware of regulatory legislation and developments within the healthcare industry.
• Monitor budgets and performance targets.
• Participate in Simeka’s Health vision to become a thought leader and contribute to growing the business.
• Ensure all compliance-related aspects within the portfolio are adhered to.

What We're Looking For

• A B-Com Degree, BA Law, LLB, or equivalent NQF level 7 qualification.
• A Financial Services Industry-related qualification (120 credits at NQF level 5).
• Passed Regulatory Examinations RE5 & RE1.
• FAIS and CMS accreditation is required (must not work under supervision).
• Own car and a valid driver’s license.
• 5-7 years of corporate healthcare consulting experience.
• 2 years of management experience.

Nice to Have

• A CFP qualification is advantageous.
• A proven track record of managing people is advantageous.

Technical Stack

• Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Team & Environment

You will report directly to the Head: Healthcare Consulting. This role involves leading a team of consultants and collaborating across various internal and external stakeholders.

Work Mode

This is an onsite position based in Bellville, Cape Town.
