About the Role
The Principal Enterprise Architect will be responsible for defining and implementing the strategic direction of enterprise architecture, ensuring alignment with business goals and driving technological advancements.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the enterprise architecture framework, standards, and guidelines.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable and secure enterprise architecture solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the architecture team.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to enhance the enterprise architecture.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in enterprise architecture.
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions to educate stakeholders on enterprise architecture principles.
- Conduct regular reviews and assessments of the enterprise architecture to identify areas for improvement.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate enterprise architecture with other IT initiatives.
- Develop and maintain documentation and roadmaps for enterprise architecture projects.
- Participate in the development of the IT strategy and roadmap.
- Manage and prioritize the enterprise architecture backlog.
- Collaborate with vendors and partners to evaluate and integrate third-party solutions.
- Ensure the security and scalability of enterprise architecture solutions.
- Provide input on the budget and resource allocation for enterprise architecture projects.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and developments in enterprise architecture.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for enterprise architecture projects.
- Provide technical expertise and support during the implementation of enterprise architecture solutions.
- Evaluate the performance and effectiveness of enterprise architecture solutions.
- Collaborate with the IT governance team to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
- Develop and implement enterprise architecture governance frameworks.
- Provide input on the selection and procurement of enterprise architecture tools and technologies.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments of the enterprise architecture landscape.
- Collaborate with the IT operations team to ensure the smooth deployment of enterprise architecture solutions.
Nice to Have
- Certification in enterprise architecture (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman).
- Experience with cloud-native architectures.
- Knowledge of DevOps and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
- Experience with microservices and containerization technologies.
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture management tools (e.g., Sparx Systems, Ardoq).
- Experience with IT service management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira Service Management).
- Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., ArchiMate, UML).
- Experience with IT governance and compliance frameworks (e.g., COBIT, ITIL).
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture assessment and audit tools.
- Experience with IT infrastructure and operations management tools.
