About the Role
This role involves leading the architecture and implementation of data systems that power analytics, machine learning, and operational workflows. The individual will drive technical strategy, mentor engineers, and ensure reliability and scalability of data platforms.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and deployment of distributed data systems
- Define best practices for data modeling and pipeline development
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data solutions
- Mentor engineers in data architecture and performance optimization
- Evaluate and adopt new technologies for data processing
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and accessibility
- Drive automation of data quality monitoring and validation
- Support real-time data streaming and batch processing workflows
- Optimize query performance across large datasets
- Establish data governance and security standards
- Own end-to-end data platform reliability and uptime
- Guide capacity planning and scalability strategies
- Lead incident response and root cause analysis for data outages
- Promote reusable data patterns across teams
- Work closely with product and analytics stakeholders
- Improve data documentation and metadata management
- Implement observability for data pipelines
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations
- Contribute to disaster recovery planning for data systems
- Drive cost-efficiency in cloud data storage and compute
