Wolters Kluwer (CCH Tagetik) is looking for a Principal Content Management Consultant - Physician Editor specializing in Obstetrics and Gynecology to join the UpToDate team. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining the high-quality, evidence-based clinical content used by clinicians worldwide in this electronic clinical decision support resource. This role requires a commitment of 80-90% FTE to editorial work, with the remaining time available for clinical activities.
What You'll Do
- Review and edit new contributions from external expert authors to ensure they address questions a practicing clinician might have.
- Ensure topics contain specific, actionable recommendations and describe supporting evidence.
- Monitor the medical literature for new developments and identify topics needing updates.
- Systematically review existing topics for clarity, completeness, and clinical relevance.
- Work closely with outside authors, section editors, editors-in-chief, and peer reviewers to ensure material is accurate and free of bias.
- Collaborate with in-house editorial and graphics assistants to produce and maintain each topic.
What We're Looking For
- Medical Degree
- Board Certification/Eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology

- Clinical experience in an academic setting after residency
- Impeccable communication skills: verbal, writing, and listening
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues at different skill levels
- Self-motivated, with excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to give and receive feedback effectively
- Interest in critical analysis of the medical literature (skills can be learned on the job)
- Ability to spend 80 to 90% of the work week on editorial work
- Interest in and ability to maintain clinical work (10 to 20%)
