La Compagnie mutuelle d’assurance Wawanesa is hiring a Principal Actuarial Analyst to contribute to the Actuarial department with a high degree of autonomy. You will apply your expertise to solve complex business problems, provide guidance to other analysts, and help drive the team forward.
What You'll Do
- Research, extract, and manipulate complex data from relevant sources, assessing its quality.
- Perform analyses and reviews to support the business and team, responding to ad hoc requests and participating in special projects.
- Evaluate existing processes to improve efficiency and identify opportunities for task automation.
- Suggest new approaches for problem solving and assess the impact of possible solutions.
- Stay informed of industry news and trends and consider their impact on the company.
- Engage in continuous professional development to acquire cross-functional knowledge and technical skills.
- Provide periodic project updates to stakeholders.
- Build trust with teams around the actuarial function and know when to ask for expertise from others.
- Actively contribute to the coaching, training, and development of actuarial analysts.
- Review peer analyses and provide thoughtful feedback on plausibility, completeness, and accuracy.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
Nice to Have
- More than two years of actuarial experience.
- Professional ACAS designation in progress with the successful completion of four CAS exams.

- Compensation range: $90,000 - $110,000
