Responsibilities
- Dedicate to building a constructive and well-rounded learning atmosphere.
- Cultivate and uphold a positive, orderly, and respectful classroom environment.
- Create and submit lesson plans on schedule, adhering to the IB framework and course guidelines.
- Provide instruction consistent with the school's curriculum, policies, and standards.
- Show thorough preparation by effectively using teaching resources and materials.
- Adjust lessons to address varied abilities and learning preferences.
- Clearly state lesson goals and offer chances for student reflection and self-assessment.
- Encourage teamwork and cooperative learning among students.
- Design and deliver engaging, relevant, and student-focused lessons.
- Implement prescribed curricula effectively while integrating extra teaching resources and activities.
- Incorporate opportunities to foster intercultural understanding in lessons.
- Keep a well-organized, stimulating, and visually appealing teaching space.
- Ensure student work is displayed appropriately and refreshed regularly.
- Promote independent learning in students.
- Work with and effectively use additional staff in planning and delivering lessons.
- Prepare and supply suitable cover work when absent.
- Maintain effective communication and collaboration with students.
- Build and sustain cooperative, professional relationships with colleagues, parents, and students.
- Deliver up to 25 lessons per week out of a 30-lesson schedule, as assigned.
- Assess students' academic growth and well-being.
- Evaluate new students when needed and recommend appropriate support levels.
- Continuously monitor student progress using various assessment methods.
- Keep accurate, current records of student progress to aid final evaluations.
- Promptly inform parents about concerns that might affect students' academic performance.
- Complete all school assessment and record-keeping requirements on time.
