Novant Health is hiring a Sr. Pricing Analyst to join the financial strategy group within Business Development and Sales. This team partners with executive, facility, and service line leadership to develop and implement transformative pricing strategies across all markets, facilities, services, and payors for the organization.
What You'll Do
- Develop new pricing-related consumer products and overall strategy
- Conduct thorough analysis of internal and external factors for payor negotiations, renewals, and proposal development
- Evaluate healthcare total cost of care risk and opportunities for patient populations
- Predict downstream impact of changing utilization under risk arrangements
- Develop internal episode initiatives, including CMS and commercial episodes
- Utilize internal data systems and external data sources to drive analyses
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Health Care Administration or a related field
- Minimum five years of experience in healthcare analysis
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to manipulate large data sets from multiple systems using MS Office (Excel, Access)
- Familiarity with common coding practices including CPT4, ICD10CM, and DRGs, as well as current Medicare reimbursement methodologies
- Knowledge of pricing, healthcare finance, managed care, provider incentives, and risk contracting
- Ability to distill data into salient information and present findings in a logical, concise manner
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of management
- Basic accounting, financial, or economic analytic skills

- Understanding of healthcare alternate payment models, value based care, and risk contracts (Commercial and Government segments)
- Health insurance experience
- SQL, SAS/Webi or other database management tool experience

The department consists of two teams: payor relationship management and financial strategy. The Sr. Pricing Analyst role is in the financial strategy group.
