Role Overview
Join a forward-thinking team as a Pre-Sales Engineer focused on Reinsurance solutions within the North American market. In this role, you will partner closely with the sales team to understand client needs, develop strategic responses, and deliver compelling technical presentations that drive decision-making. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping how prospects perceive the value of our platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with sales to assess customer requirements and translate them into effective, business-driven solution designs
- Lead product demonstrations tailored to audience levels, including senior executives and technical stakeholders
- Develop customized return on investment (ROI) and return on risk (ROR) assessments to support business justification
- Design and build solution architectures and prototypes that align with client workflows and integration needs
- Prepare and manage responses to requests for proposals, ensuring technical accuracy and strategic alignment
- Contribute to customer-specific proposals, management summaries, and statements of work
- Work with product teams to refine demo environments based on market trends and client feedback
- Support marketing initiatives through event participation, campaign development, and technical content creation
- Maintain strong cross-functional collaboration in a remote, team-empowered environment
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years in a technical pre-sales or sales engineering role
- Deep familiarity with reinsurance business processes and information systems at an advanced user level
- Proven ability to lead technical workshops, presentations, and demonstrations independently
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with experience engaging at executive levels
- Ability to design integrated solutions and evaluate functional fit across complex requirements
- Comfort working autonomously within a distributed, collaborative team structure
- Willingness to travel as business needs arise
Preferred Background
- Prior experience with insurance software vendors, particularly in reinsurance platforms
- Solid understanding of enterprise software architecture and integration patterns
