CrossCountry Mortgage (CCM) is hiring a Pre-Approval Specialist to support our Bryan, OH office. In this role, you will serve as a critical liaison, overseeing the loan process from start to finish to help borrowers secure the optimal financial program.
What You'll Do
- Provide superior customer service by communicating with borrowers to explain loan programs, costs, and documentation.
- Review and audit income, assets, run DU, and verify credit documentation to ensure loan stability.
- Review mortgage loan disclosure packages and deliver them to the borrower.
- Assist in managing a pipeline of loan types including Conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, 203k, Jumbo, and reverse mortgage products.
- Ensure the loan structure presents the best program based on the borrower’s financial circumstances.
- Review files for any missing documentation that best supports approval.
- Communicate loan program and costs with borrowers (license required for this duty).
- Pre-underwrite items such as paystubs, credit reports, W2s, and bank statements to support loan approval.
- Input data for disclosures and set up the loan to best fit the borrower’s needs.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3-5 years of residential mortgage processing experience.
- Knowledge of RESPA guidelines and all mortgage and consumer regulations.
- Knowledge of DU, LP, Microsoft Outlook, and Windows.
- Excellent math, analytics, communication, prioritization, and time management skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Encompass LOS.
- Prior underwriting or processing experience.
