Interstate Gas Supply, LLC is hiring a Power Market Analyst

Interstate Gas Supply, LLC (IGS) is hiring a Power Market Analyst to join our team. You will be responsible for accurately predicting and modeling IGS's wholesale and retail market costs. The role involves developing cost models, validating ISO settlements, tracking market changes, and supporting internal business groups.

What You'll Do

• Develop models for wholesale and retail cost analysis and prediction
• Gain proficiency with Independent System Operator (ISO) and utility tariffs
• Validate, reconcile, and forecast ISO settlements
• Track and educate the organization and customers on wholesale market changes and risks
• Manage and update daily, weekly, and monthly cost models
• Aid other Power Supply groups with process and reporting development
• Support reporting for Sales, Billing, Finance, and Accounting
• Provide ad hoc analyses for internal customer requests
• Develop and maintain relationships with external business partners

What We're Looking For

• Ability to develop advanced formulas and models in Excel
• Experience with VBA and/or Power BI
• A basic understanding of databases/SQL
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to successfully execute complex tasks accurately
• Strong problem solving and analytical ability
• Decisive – Makes well-informed, effective and timely decisions, thinks and executes quickly and logically during times of ambiguity
• Collaborative – Works effectively with others across the organization
• Credible – Acts with integrity, demonstrates technical competence, is responsible, dependable and leads by example
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, with emphasis in Operations, Finance, or other related area of study
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis

Nice to Have

• 1 to 2 years of experience working at an ISO, utility, or energy provider
