Duke University is hiring a Postdoctoral Associate to manage graduate medical education (GME) fellowship programs. You will be responsible for the administrative leadership and daily operations of the ACGME-accredited Palliative Care and Hospice Medicine fellowship, while also providing support for Hematology/Oncology and Rheumatology programs.
What You'll Do
- Acquire knowledge of current GME rules, regulations, and institutional requirements.
- Develop thorough expertise in trainee databases to enhance program efficiency, updating systems annually.
- Coordinate all aspects of fellow recruitment, including selecting applicants, scheduling interviews, and keeping websites updated.
- Serve as the primary contact for the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) and coordinate the rank order list.
- Oversee the development and management of all educational activities for trainees, including clinical rotations and required didactics.
- Upload and input all scheduled house staff activities to required platforms, monitoring for compliance with accreditation standards.
- Provide administrative and management assistance to the Senior GME Program Coordinator.
- Plan and schedule work priorities in accordance with program goals and deadlines.
- Design and administer the program's educational curriculum in conjunction with the Program Director.
- Compile necessary data for continuous quality improvement and accreditation reporting.
- Coordinate grant searches for funding opportunities for fellowship programs.
- Attend and participate in all GME-related meetings.
- Plan and execute the distribution of reports and information as required.
Team & Environment
You will report directly to the senior administrator for education. In this role, you will work closely with the senior program coordinator and the program directors to maintain compliance and accreditation for all aspects of the training programs.
