Post Sales Support Specialist – Burlington, ON
Role Overview
This position supports the post-sales lifecycle of electrical products by managing warranty claims and commercial concerns through structured quality processes. Based in Burlington, ON, the specialist ensures customer needs are met efficiently while aligning with company policies and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate and resolve commercial and warranty-related issues tied to electrical equipment, including part mismatches, specification nonconformances, and equipment failures
- Apply the Customer Quality Management (CQM) process to identify root causes, implement permanent fixes, and validate solutions
- Submit electronic warranty forms (eWarfs) to Engineering Services and Systems (EESS) and track follow-up actions
- Analyze warranty trends monthly and initiate corrective action requests when necessary
- Collaborate with operations, sales, and engineering teams to coordinate issue resolution and return material authorizations (RMAs)
- Secure approvals from Product Managers before advancing resolution plans
- Support purchase order creation to authorize technical teams to address field issues
- Ensure all activities comply with the organization’s warranty and quality policies
Qualifications
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a Technologist Diploma, along with at least five years of combined experience in engineering, quality assurance, warranty management, or customer service. A minimum of three years in the electrical industry is required. Applicants must be eligible to work in Canada without sponsorship, now or in the future.
Preferred Background
- Familiarity with power distribution and control systems
- Understanding of quality management and warranty procedures
- Professional certification such as P.Eng., C.E.T., or C.Tech is advantageous
- French language proficiency is considered a plus
Tools & Systems
The role utilizes the Customer Quality Management (CQM) system, Electronic Warranty Forms (eWarfs), Office 365, and other digital platforms to manage workflows and documentation.
Compensation & Benefits
Annual salary ranges from $75,000 to $94,000, based on skills, experience, and market factors. Compensation decisions reflect individual qualifications and business needs.
