Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation is hiring a Regional Director, Access & Reimbursement. This field-based role serves as the regional lead for Novartis Neuroscience Patient Support (NPS) Access & Reimbursement teams, providing leadership, management, coaching, and compliance oversight to accelerate business objectives and support patient access.
What You'll Do
- Lead a team of diverse field access and reimbursement roles focused on supporting customers regarding patient access to the neuroscience portfolio.
- Attract, coach, and retain a team of high-performing Access & Reimbursement professionals.
- Oversee recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, and staffing for the regional team.
- Provide frequent, ongoing coaching and performance feedback to all direct reports.
- Create and nurture a team culture that embodies company values and drives innovation.
- Pull through national strategy at a regional level to enable effective execution.
- Proactively anticipate and coach teams on how to address access hurdles.
- Ensure the team delivers effective education to support appropriate patients starting and staying on therapy.
- Integrate with company leadership and collaborate across multi-functional teams for regional field success.
- Identify and resolve challenges, escalations, or delays in treatment initiation and continuation.
- Understand and resolve questions associated with practice and patient reimbursement.
- Identify opportunities to complement company capabilities to strengthen patient access.
- Maintain a deep understanding of company policies and perform all responsibilities with integrity.
- Identify and report adverse events via established company systems.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum of 8 years in reimbursement, contract strategy, managed care, sales/marketing, or related field roles.
- At least 2 years leading a regional or local team and managing across multiple stakeholders.
- Experience working with highly complex practices or health systems to establish access pathways.
- Strategic account management experience using a proactive approach to anticipate access hurdles.
- Deep expertise and experience integrating manufacturer-sponsored patient support programs.
- General knowledge of reimbursement pathways (specialty pharmacy, buy-and-bill, retail).
- Experience with specialty products acquired through specialty pharmacy networks and the buy-and-bill process.
- A strong understanding of Commercial payers, Medicare plans, and state Medicaid in the geographic region.
- A proven track record of building and motivating teams.
- Past success in the execution of launch strategies and plans.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- A proven, successful history in a leadership and motivational role.
- Must live within the assigned territory or near a major airport with a short flight into the geography.
- Driving is an essential function; must have a fully valid and unrestricted driver’s license.
Nice to Have
- An advanced degree is preferred (Sciences, Business, Pharmacy, and Healthcare majors).

Benefits & Compensation
- Compensation range: $194,600.00 - $361,400.00/year.

Work Mode
This is a remote position open to candidates in California, Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, Nebraska, Wyoming, Montana, Arizona, Nevada, Alaska, Hawaii, Washington, Oregon, and Idaho.
