Penn State is offering a student Police Intern position within its University Police and Public Safety Department. This internship provides practical experience across various units and supports key initiatives throughout Pennsylvania.
What You'll Do
- Gain hands-on experience within various areas of the University Police and Public Safety Department.
- Engage with units including the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Unit, Criminal Investigations Unit, Uniformed Patrol Division, Administration/Records, and the Community-Oriented Policing Unit.
- Assist with creating, engaging, and assisting with various initiatives throughout the commonwealth, including recruitment and retention efforts, training opportunities, and outreach with the Community Oriented Policing Unit.
What We're Looking For
- At least 18 years of age.
- Currently enrolled as a student at Penn State University.
- GPA of 2.5 or higher.
- Successful completion of a standard background check and a CLEAN/NCIC federal fingerprint check prior to hiring.
Nice to Have
- Completed at least two years of coursework at an accredited college or university.

This internship is a collaboration between the Criminology Department, University Police and Public Safety, and the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Unit.
