Spectra Tech is looking for a Principal Plumbing Designer to lead our computer-aided design and drafting efforts. In this role, you will be responsible for generating complex drawings and models for plumbing systems while managing key project deliverables.

What You'll Do

Use drafting applications to originate and produce drawings and 3D models of moderate to advanced complexity.
Read, interpret, and generate design drawings with minimal supervision from engineering.
Walk down field systems with minimal guidance, interpret field direction, and generate advanced design details.
Create new drawings and modify existing ones based on project needs.
Direct, check, and approve work done by other designers.
Develop project estimates, schedules, staffing requirements, and progress reports.
Track key quantities and define project scope of services and facilities.

What We're Looking For

Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Highly skilled in computer aided design (CAD) with demonstrated experience.
3D modeling experience is required.
Working knowledge of Federal (including Department of Energy Orders), State, and Local codes and standards applicable to specialized facilities.
