PermitFlow is looking for a Platform Engineer to join our growing infrastructure team. You will build, scale, and fine-tune the systems that keep our services running smoothly, architecting the backbone of our platform with a focus on automation, reliability, and continuous improvement.
What You'll Do
- Architect, design, and implement secure, scalable, and cost-efficient infrastructure solutions to support a rapidly growing product.
- Design and implement backend and frontend services, APIs, and data pipelines to support AI-driven workflows.
- Own features end-to-end, from architecture and implementation to testing and production deployment.
- Develop and maintain automation through Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines.
- Monitor, optimize, and scale our cloud infrastructure for performance and reliability.
- Establish and enforce best practices for observability, logging, and alerting.
- Lead and participate in incident response, troubleshooting complex issues and driving postmortem learning and improvements.
- Collaborate across engineering teams to improve developer velocity while balancing reliability, security, and cost.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in Platform, Site Reliability, Infrastructure, or similar roles.
- Strong experience with containerization and orchestration.
- Expertise with CI/CD pipelines and modern infrastructure automation tools.
- Coding and scripting proficiency (Python, Go, Bash, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure and distributed systems.
- Familiarity with monitoring, observability, and incident management best practices.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment, where adaptability and ownership are essential.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Docker, ECS, Kubernetes a plus.
- Experience with GCP preferred.
