Our Home is looking for a Plant Accountant to perform and coordinate comprehensive accounting duties for our two manufacturing locations. You will be responsible for preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, and analyzing manufacturing costs, ensuring accurate and timely financial data to support our operations.
What You'll Do
- Perform accounting for two manufacturing locations
- Handle daily and weekly tasks including inventory analysis, journal entries, and labor analysis
- Compile and present monthly financial reports to management
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations
- Analyze profit margins and manufacturing costs
- Perform cost variance and work order analysis
- Review results of cycle and physical inventory counts
- Contribute to developing new or amended accounting systems and procedures
- Prepare ad-hoc reporting as requested by Plant Management
- Provide cross-functional and interdepartmental support
- Assist in training new accounting team members
- Participate in the annual Inventory Audit
What We're Looking For
- Detail-oriented with a proficiency for accuracy; dependable with a positive, team-player attitude
- Strong MS Office experience and proficiency with spreadsheets and/or databases
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business, or equivalent school/work experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ manufacturing accounting experience
- Understanding of U.S. GAAP as it applies to a manufacturing environment
- Above-average written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to present financial results clearly, concisely, and consistently
- Ability to prioritize, take ownership of tasks, and manage multiple requests
- NetSuite or other ERP experience
- Ability to travel up to 20%

- Experience with a mid-sized, privately owned company
- Ability to identify improvement areas and drive automation in processes
- Prior experience managing accounting activities for multiple sites
