  • Interpret and apply industry codes such as ASME B31.1 and B31.3 to ensure compliance and safety
  • Collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary teams to define project scope, evaluate design options, and refine solutions
  • Produce and interpret isometric drawings, P&IDs, and orthographic plans to support design accuracy
  • Participate in process hazard analyses (PHA/HAZOP) as a representative of the engineering team
  • Perform material and energy balances to support system design
  • Contribute to equipment specifications and procurement documentation
  • Travel to project sites as needed for field verification, design validation, and startup support
  • Work under the guidance of senior engineers while managing multiple project responsibilities

Qualifications

Candidates must be licensed Professional Engineers with demonstrated experience in industrial piping design. Proficiency in AutoCAD is required, along with a solid understanding of valve and fitting selection, material specifications, and support design. Experience in retrofit projects and field dimensioning is essential. The ideal candidate reads and creates technical drawings confidently and communicates effectively with team members and clients.

Preferred skills include 3D modeling experience using CADWorx Plant 3D and NavisWorks, which supports clash detection and design coordination. Familiarity with these tools enhances project efficiency and integration across disciplines.

Work Environment

This is a hybrid position based in the Southeastern U.S., with primary work conducted in an office setting and periodic travel to project sites. The role supports a flexible work structure designed to balance professional growth with personal well-being.
