In this role, you will perform moderately complex, non-technical claim-related activities, delivering compassionate service that is fast, fair, and easy to ensure customer retention. You’ll work within established quality and timeliness standards on specific losses.
What You'll Do
- Make and maintain a connection with customers by understanding and meeting their needs
- Investigate prior losses and other file information, ordering reports as directed
- Retrieve, print, and fax or mail supporting documentation to vendors
- Handle claim files, including locating, requesting, filing paperwork, reconstructing missing files, and sending files to other offices
- Perform clerical duties such as data entry, filing, email, calendar management, and word processing
- Participate in or assist with training new or less experienced employees
- Complete all necessary forms, log documents into the system, and route them appropriately
- Contact or receive contact from customers or third parties to provide necessary file information
- Receive, screen, and route incoming telephone calls and electronic correspondence
- Assist adjusters with more complex claim handling, analyzing documentation to settle basic, routine claims

- PIP Claims Assistant II: $17.98 - $21.92 annually
- PIP Claims Assistant III: $17.98 - $22.79 annually
- PIP Claims Sr. Assistant: $18.61 - $24.76 annually
