Adventist Health, a faith-based nonprofit integrated health system living God's love by inspiring health, wholeness, and hope, is hiring a Pharmacist for our Simi Valley, California location. In this onsite role, you will be responsible for verifying and filling medication orders, monitoring patient therapies, providing drug information, and supervising support personnel to ensure optimal therapeutic outcomes.
What You'll Do
- Process, enter, verify, and distribute medication orders in compliance with policies and regulatory guidelines.
- Ensure medication therapy is efficacious, safe, cost-effective, and achieves optimal therapeutic outcomes.
- Conduct and manage daily reports on medication utilization to identify areas for improvement.
- Perform quality assurance procedures in related work areas.
- Participate in clinical rounds, medication management activities, remote order verification, and other pharmacy tasks.
- Expedite changes to meet regulatory, accrediting, licensing, and government standards.
- Participate in department cost savings and comply with drug formulary.
- Collaborate with leadership to purchase, contract, and procure medications and supplies based on safety standards.
- Assist in making recommendations on process improvement or development of new pharmacy services.
What We're Looking For
- Graduate of a school of pharmacy.
- Pharmacist license in the state of practice.
- All licensures and certifications needed to fulfill the duties required of a Pharmacist at the state level.
Nice to Have
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.
- One year's technical experience.
- Inpatient clinical pharmacy experience.
