The Performance Analyst will integrate directly with cross-functional delivery teams to assess service performance and guide strategic decisions through data. This role is central to building measurement frameworks that reflect user needs and service goals, ensuring decisions are grounded in reliable evidence throughout the development and delivery process.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with delivery teams to embed analytical practices into service design and iteration
- Define success criteria with Product Managers and support data-informed prioritisation
- Design and manage performance measurement systems across digital services
- Set up tracking infrastructure and monitor performance against KPIs and objectives
- Formulate and test hypotheses about user behaviour using quantitative data
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and statistical validity in all analyses
- Build intuitive dashboards and visualisations to communicate findings clearly
- Deliver insights to teams and leadership through tailored reporting formats
- Align with User Researchers to combine qualitative and quantitative insights
- Engage delivery teams in measurement practices to foster shared ownership
- Produce accessible outputs such as dashboards, summaries, and presentations
- Guide teams in making decisions based on evidence and performance trends
- Apply quality assurance methods to data collection and analysis workflows
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience with data tools, including collecting, cleaning, and interpreting data for actionable outcomes
- Familiarity with web analytics and user behaviour analysis using platforms like Google Analytics
- Skill in synthesising diverse data sources to represent user needs effectively
- Strong communication abilities, capable of simplifying complex findings for varied audiences
- Proven work within agile, multidisciplinary environments
- History of advising Product Managers on strategic direction using data
- Experience evaluating services at multiple lifecycle stages
- Awareness of real-world constraints—technical, regulatory, ethical, and user-focused
- Ability to assess data quality, select appropriate sources, and interpret results correctly
- Knowledge of quality assurance in data processes
- Skill in presenting insights to build trust and understanding among non-technical colleagues
