St. Luke’s University Health Network is seeking a Per Diem Clinical Triage Specialist, Registered Nurse to join its Access Center team. In this role, you will compassionately deliver an exceptional patient experience and serve as a critical clinical resource, using nursing judgment to assess and triage patient symptoms. You will be a key part of our mission to provide excellent care and improve access for our communities.
What You'll Do
- Answer and prioritize clinical triage calls, following clinical protocols and coordinating services as needed.
- Verify patient demographic information and accurately update the electronic health record.
- Serve as an escalation point for clinical patient issues and provide clinical advice based on established protocols.
- Manage and respond to escalated electronic patient messages, using clinical judgment to prioritize patient needs.
- Create a positive patient experience by independently resolving issues within the scope of the role.
- Consistently meet productivity, schedule adherence, and quality standards.
- Utilize available resources to effectively assess, advise, schedule appointments, or refer calls to appropriate facilities.
- Accurately document symptoms, nursing assessment, advice provided, and patient response.
- Partner with other Access Center teams and practice clinical teams on behalf of patients.
What We're Looking For
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Registered Nurse with a current license to practice in the State of Pennsylvania or seeking Pennsylvania licensure through reciprocity.
- Minimum 2 years recent clinical experience in a physician office, home health, critical care, and/or emergency room.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Focus on compliance, continuous growth, quality, and service orientation.
- Ability to work from home in accordance with the Network Work from Home Policy.
Team & Environment
You will partner with other Access Center teams/PODs and respective practice clinical teams to assist patients with clinical concerns.
Work Mode
This is a remote position focused on weekends and nights.
