Family Health International (FHI 360) is seeking a People and Culture Associate to provide essential operational support for our core human resources functions in Guatemala. This role works under the supervision of a People and Culture Partner to ensure efficient and compliant P&C services for the country office.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate end-to-end recruitment support, including vacancy postings, candidate screening, interview scheduling, and reference checks.
- Maintain and update HRIS data, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Assist in payroll and benefits processing and liaise with vendors as needed.
- Support employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Coordinate learning activities and training for all project staff.
- Provide first-line response to employee questions regarding P&C policies and benefits.
- Assist with compliance reporting and documentation for audits.
- Resolve routine P&C issues independently, escalating complex matters.
- Contribute to the efficiency and accuracy of P&C services.
- Support procurement and logistics efforts in coordination with the Program Manager.
What We're Looking For
- 1–3 years of P&C or human resources experience.
- Must be able to read, write and speak fluent Spanish and English.
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
- Good organizational and computer skills.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Articulate, professional and able to communicate in a clear, positive manner.
- Working knowledge of P&C procedures and Guatemalan employment regulations.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
- Experience preferably in an INGO or similar environment.
