About the Role

Family Health International (FHI 360) is seeking a People and Culture Associate to provide essential operational support for our core human resources functions in Guatemala. This role works under the supervision of a People and Culture Partner to ensure efficient and compliant P&C services for the country office.

What You'll Do

  • Coordinate end-to-end recruitment support, including vacancy postings, candidate screening, interview scheduling, and reference checks.
  • Maintain and update HRIS data, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist in payroll and benefits processing and liaise with vendors as needed.
  • Support employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Coordinate learning activities and training for all project staff.
  • Provide first-line response to employee questions regarding P&C policies and benefits.
  • Assist with compliance reporting and documentation for audits.
  • Resolve routine P&C issues independently, escalating complex matters.
  • Contribute to the efficiency and accuracy of P&C services.
  • Support procurement and logistics efforts in coordination with the Program Manager.

What We're Looking For

  • 1–3 years of P&C or human resources experience.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak fluent Spanish and English.
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
  • Good organizational and computer skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Articulate, professional and able to communicate in a clear, positive manner.
  • Working knowledge of P&C procedures and Guatemalan employment regulations.

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
  • Experience preferably in an INGO or similar environment.
