As a Peer Mentor, you’ll play a vital role in guiding individuals and their supporters through recovery from eating disorders. Your own lived experience in healing will inform compassionate, client-centered interactions, helping others feel seen, understood, and empowered.
What You’ll Do
- Host virtual one-on-one sessions, adjusting your approach to meet each individual’s needs while fostering trust and active listening.
- Co-lead group sessions for patients and caregivers, creating inclusive spaces for shared learning and mutual support.
- Use responsible self-disclosure to build connection, sharing aspects of your recovery journey when appropriate and therapeutic.
- Maintain accurate, timely records in line with organizational standards to support continuity of care across the treatment team.
- Stay organized with scheduling, ensuring availability is clearly communicated and sessions are easy to book.
- Engage in regular training, team meetings, and professional development to deepen clinical knowledge and stay current with best practices.
What We’re Looking For
- Personal experience in recovery from an eating disorder, with confidence in your current stability and readiness to support others.
- At least two years of direct patient-facing experience in behavioral health, mentorship, or related support roles.
- Strong communication and documentation skills, with an ability to build rapport across diverse backgrounds and identities.
- Proficiency in managing time and tasks independently in a remote work setting, including availability for two weekday evenings.
- Comfort using digital platforms and adapting to new tools in a fast-moving clinical environment.

- Salary range of $54,000–$65,000, with bonus potential

Work Environment
This is a fully remote position requiring availability Monday through Friday between 8am and 8pm in the patient’s time zone. You must be available for at least two evenings per week until 8pm local time and deliver a minimum of 20 hours of direct patient care after 2pm (3pm in Mountain Time).
