Sonae MC is hiring a Payroll Technician to join our People team in Matosinhos. This role is essential to guarantee excellence in managing the employee lifecycle, ensuring data integrity and treatment, and executing rigorous payroll processing.
What You'll Do
- Manage and monitor the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, contractual and organizational changes, and offboarding
- Ensure the collection, validation, and treatment of data for monthly payroll processing
- Execute payroll processing accurately and on time, guaranteeing compliance with legal requirements and internal procedures
- Monitor processes under your responsibility, proposing improvements based on critical analysis and concrete data
- Support core People processes and provide direct support to Business Partners
- Collaborate with internal teams (such as Finance and Legal) as needed
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Management, Accounting, Organizational Psychology, or similar fields
- Strong analytical skills, critical thinking, and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Sense of responsibility, autonomy, and results-oriented mindset
- Availability for a temporary opportunity
Nice to Have
- Previous experience in payroll functions and/or HR administrative management
- Good knowledge of labor legislation and payroll processing
- Familiarity with HR management tools and advanced Excel skills (valued)
